In this article, we will explain what Graph Settings are and how to use them to customize and refine your graphs in Trend Monitor.
What are Graph Settings?
Graph Settings allow you to define how your graph looks and behaves. Here you can choose the graph type, adjust axes and scales, enable comparisons, and apply significance testing. These settings help you present data clearly and highlight meaningful trends and insights.
How to Access Graph Settings
- Open the graph you want to edit within a Topic.
- Click on Graph Settings.
- Adjust your desired settings and click Save changes when finished.
Common Graph Settings Explained
Graph Type
Choose the visualization format that best fits your data and insight needs — such as line, bar, area, or pie graphs.
Comparison
Select the time period you want to compare your data against — for example, the previous month, quarter, or year.
Significance Testing
Enable significance testing to identify whether changes between data points are statistically meaningful rather than random.
Axes and Scale Options
Adjust axis, scales and ranges to ensure your graph communicates data accurately and clearly.
Tips for Best Results
- Use consistent graph types and colors across topics for easier comparison.
- Make sure you don't have graphs with "information overload".
